Fort Abraham Lincoln stands as one of North Dakota's most haunted destinations, drawing in paranormal enthusiasts and surprising even the most skeptical visitors. It’s a place where history and the supernatural come together in the most chilling way.

A Haunting History: It all began in 1989 with the reconstruction of the Custer House, which seemed to awaken the spirits of those who once lived here. Both interpreters and visitors reported strange and eerie encounters. Over time, as Fort Abraham Lincoln grew, so did its supernatural stories—from sightings of a mysterious woman in black to eerie voices echoing along the boardwalk.

The Birth of Haunted Fort: In 2002, we embraced the eerie legacy of Fort Abraham Lincoln and created Haunted Fort, blending historical settings with spine-tingling terror. These historic structures were transformed into haunting attractions, making it one of the most terrifying experiences in the region.

Evolving Nightmares: Haunted Fort has since grown beyond our wildest imaginations. Due to popular demand, we’ve expanded the event to three weekends and added a children’s bash. Haunted Fort has become Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park’s largest event, drawing over 9,000 brave souls every October.

🌟 Thrilling Effects: Haunted Fort uses strobe lights, fog machines, loud noises, and other startling effects. Expect uneven terrain, low visibility, and the possibility of being separated from your group.

❌ Health Restrictions: Not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with claustrophobia, seizures, heart, or respiratory conditions. We cannot admit individuals who appear intoxicated, or those wearing medical casts, braces, or crutches. Halloween masks or full head coverings are not allowed. The mazes and attractions are not wheelchair accessible.

📸 No Photography/Videography: Taking photos or videos inside the attractions is prohibited.

🚭 No Smoking: Smoking is not allowed anywhere in or around Haunted Fort, including waiting areas and the Commissary courtyard.

🍔 No Food or Drinks: Food and beverages are not allowed during the Haunted Fort tour.

🙅‍♀️ Respectful Behavior: Disorderly behavior, touching staff or props, or demeaning actors will result in immediate removal from the event.

👻 Age Recommendations: Haunted Fort is an intense experience not recommended for children under 13. Children under 6 will not be admitted. We suggest the Halloween Kids Bash or Spookless Night event for younger visitors.
